Exciting Changes at Rainbow:
A Letter from the Executive Director
After several months of planning, it is my pleasure to announce the exciting changes happening at Rainbow Research. Over the last seven years I have had the honor of serving as Rainbow’s executive director. In that time, the staff and organization have explored and deepened their understanding and commitment to social justice, equitable evaluation, and anti-racists frameworks of evaluation and research. As many of you know, this is an ongoing process of learning and evolution that requires a commitment that will last our lifetimes and beyond.
I—along with the Rainbow Research Board of Directors—am excited to announce a call for applicants for the position of Executive Director. As noted in the posting, this is an incredible opportunity for a leader to take this organization to the next level of growth and change. I am pleased to note that the organization is strong both financially and organizationally to embrace these changes, and I am proud that I could contribute in this way as the executive director over the last seven years.
As the Search Committee commences with the task of selecting the next executive director, Rebecca (Beki) Saito will assume the role of interim director, effective January 15, 2021. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Very best wishes to Rainbow’s staff, board, and the communities served as Rainbow grows into its next phase of development!
~~Mary A. McEathron, executive director, 2014-2021
