Selam Tilahun received her master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Maternal Health with an epidemiology focus. Her background is in maternal health, refugee health, epidemiology, program evaluation and data analysis. She worked at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for 3 years, in the Hepatitis and Refugee Health Units. While at MDH, she worked on multiple projects such as, perinatal hepatitis B surveillance and prevention, health promotion, refugee health surveillance, and refugee mental health.
